The film is still early in pre-production, so the site's still bare bones. There's enough content to get started though, including photos from the most recent read-thru. Plenty more to be added along the way.

The Dutch Stephen King Fan Club wrote up a review in their magazine for Harvey's Dream, my short film adaptation of a Stephen King story.

I had to flex my internet translating muscles to understand what it all says, and while it's not a rave review with a 6.5 out of 10, writer Danny Paap did favorably comment on how, in a story where you don't know what is fiction or reality, "director Christopher Zatta knows how to keep it well hidden, just as Stephen King does in the original story," or if you prefer the Dutch, "regisseur Christopher Zatta weet dit goed verborgen te houden, net zoals Stephen King in het oorspronkelijke verhaal doet."

He also writes that the changes to the narrative and the characters provided "a decent twist," or "een behoorlijke draai," and were "a wise choice," or "een verstandige keuze."

Unless my translation is off, that sounds good to me. Otherwise I'll blame everything on Google Translate.

Maybe it's because I can count how many written reviews I've received in my life on only two fingers so far, but it's exciting when someone not only takes the time to watch my work, they also write about it.

It's incredible the amount of John Cassavetes documentary footage, interviews and behind-the-scenes material you can find online. These videos from the making of his 1970 film Husbands were a fascinating must-see personally, as I'm nearing production on my first feature film At The Maple Grove.

Taking a brief step away from prepping my feature At The Maple Grove, I wrote up a quick script for a fun little movie, grabbed a camera and shot a short film last weekend with some of the actors who will be in Maple Grove.

Chip Godwin, Matt Micucci, Michael Silva, Marielle Vigneau-Britt &           Alison Zatta play a group of strangers who climb the Music Box Steps  together, and one by one each breaks out into song before reaching the top.

These steps were originally made famous in the 1932 film "The Music Box," in which Laurel & Hardy attempt to deliver a piano.

I've started writing articles on examiner.com about recent releases in independent films, and where to see them in Los Angeles. The articles are often based on advanced screenings and q & a's.
